Inferior underlays may also be filled with polyester blends in the filling or pile base. This would make them cheaper in price and quality. Sleepy Sheep has 100% wool stitched (not glued) and filled throughout our products. Stitching the wool to backing rather than gluing is essential to prevention of wool loss. Sleepy Sheep wool toppers are all machine washable, which may also affect prices as many underlays are costly in the long term as they are dry clean only.
