The Elite range of wool mattress underlays have been sanitised with UltraFresh to prevent the growth of micro-organisms.  It is locked into the fibres during wool blending to withstand washing, and will last the life of the product. Ultrafresh prevents odours and guards against premature deterioration caused by dust, mould and mildew.
We have a range of sizes from babies cot wool mattress topper to single, king single, queen, and king sheepskin mattress covers.  All are machine washable for easy care, and wool is chemical free and naturally non- flammable, keeping everyone safe and sound.
The Australian Medical Journal found that people sleeping on wool turned 80% less than with other fibres. The less you turn, the deeper and more replenishing your sleep will be. Sleep studies conducted by the American Wool Council have shown that when you sleep on wool you sleep more soundly and are less likely to toss, turn and wake up throughout the night. Six separate research studies conducted in four countries, indicated that relaxed sleep, induced by wool, has health and therapeutic benefits. In fact, 90% of 700 users reported relief from stiffness and pain.
Easy Care and Cleaning
Sheets protect your cover so it will require little cleaning. Wool's low static fibres resist dust and staining, and its natural lanolin oil resists liquids. Occasionally leaving your bed unmade during the day will allow your wool underlay to breathe and rejuvenate itself. Because of the natural resilience of the wool fibre, your cover will spring back to its original shape with a simple vacuuming.
Environmentally Safe

Wool and cotton are natural fibres. What more natural way  is there to produce a material than to grow it on the backs of sheep? You can rest easy knowing that synthetic materials were not released into the environment for the manufacturing of our products.

Washing
Do not wash your Sleepy Sheep wool product in a top loader with an agitator as this will damage the product.
